When I launched the Biomega bikes in Milan, a guy called Markus was introduced to me. The waiter pointed at me & said “this is Marc Newson”. Markus who had worked with Marc was rather surprised by Marc’s new look.  We got to be friends. When I moved to SF I asked him to introduce me to the design community – he did. Many of these guys today remain good friends. I got my PM Diploma just across the bridge from SF at UC Berkeley. My parents lived in Sausalito before I was born. The city’s light, liberal, entrepreneurial  & innovative spirit always impresses & makes me feel good.
